Since 2000, the Golos movement has been monitoring elections, organizing the work of observers at polling stations in municipal elections throughout the country, as well as conducting seminars and trainings for them.
The coordinator of the regional headquarters in Samara is human rights activist Lyudmila Kuzmina. In March 2016, the court ordered to recover from her 2.5 million rubles for 'harm to the state by non-payment of taxes' by the public fund 'Golos-Povolzhye'. As income, for which no tax was paid, the court considered one of the donations to the Moscow 'Golos', partially transferred to a regional NGO.
