'Perm-36' created the memorial Museum of political repression and managed it until 2015. In 2004, the museum was included in the list of 100 specially protected monuments of the world culture, according to the World Monuments Fund. From 2005 to 2013, the 'Sawmill forum' was held annually on the territory of the museum, the program of which included both public discussions, concerts, exhibitions, film screenings, theater productions. 'Perm-36' announced its self-liquidation in 2015, after prolonged pressure from the authorities and pro-government associations.
