'Accent' was a legal entity of the LGBT Resource Center in Yekaterinburg. In December 2020, the organization was recognized as a 'foreign agent'. In August 2021, the founders decided to close 'Accent' and create a new legal entity for the Resource Center. The new organization will exist without any foreign funding and will only be supported by donations and Russian grants.
In July 2021 the website of the Yekaterinburg Resource Center was included in the list of prohibited Internet resources because according to the court it contained information promoting non-traditional values among minors.
