The Czech news agency is a founder of the Caucasus Times regional news agency (an independent media outlet specializing in news from the South of Russia and the Caucasus). Caucasus Times covers the events taking place in Chechnya, Ingushetia, Dagestan, Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea, North Ossetia, Krasnodar, and Stavropol regions, as well as in the republics of Transcaucasia. In addition, the agency publishes analytical reviews of the main political and socio-economic events in the region, monitors regional media, and conducts monthly sociological research. The head office of the MEDIUM-ORIENT agency is located in Prague and is funded by the Open Society Institute (Soros Foundation).
