Sophia Groisman was born in Novosibirsk. In 2015 she graduated from the Faculty of Journalism of Moscow State University. She collaborated with a number of independent media outlets, among which were the Project media (its legal entity was recognized as an “undesirable organization”) and TV Rain (recognized as a media - “foreign agent”).
