The International Foundation for the Development of Indigenous Peoples of the North, Siberia and the Far East 'Batani' founded in 2004 was deemed 'foreign agent' in 2015. In 2017, it was liquidated. The foundation registered itself as an NGO in the United States after its employees were sent away from Russia and asked for political asylum in the US.
