More than 20 years ago, the graduates of the higher educational institutions in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Krasnodar have founded the Krasnodar Regional Public Organization of universities. Its goal is to promote the formation of the civil society through the implementation of educational projects for the local community. Graduates are actively engaged in charity, volunteering and organizing cultural and educational events, such as quests dedicated to the anniversary of the city, or conducting excursions.

Reason for recognition
According to the Ministry of Justice, the organisation was included in the registry of "foreign agents" as a result of a planned inspection regarding their cooperation with foreign countries, in particular with the United States. Its political activity is said to be constituted by a report devoted to civilian control of the Russian prisons its head presented at a conference held by the regional Commissioner for Human Rights.
