The “Bok-o-bok” festival tries to create an open and safe cultural space for the representatives of the LGBTQ community through the language of cinema. Through the art, the organizers challenge the established negative stereotypes, debunk myths and contribute into the protection of the rights of the sexual minorities in Russia. The festivals are held in Moscow and St. Petersburg, the organizers also conduct podcasts with directors and produce educational brochures. Anyone can submit their film to the competition program and get a platform for the public audition.
