The 'Sreda' Foundation was created by businessman Boris Zimin in 2014 and was involved in supporting independent media. Among the experts of the fund were the writer and publicist Alexandr Arkhangelsky, journalist Arina Borodina, member of the Academy of Russian Television Manana Aslamazyan. In 2014, Dozhd TV channel, Mediazona and Colta.ru online publications, Foreign Literature magazine and other media received grants from 'Sreda'.
