The SVECHA (Candle) Charitable Foundation was founded in 2001. The organization was engaged in helping HIV-positive people, as well as preventing HIV and other socially significant diseases. SVECHA helped people restore their documents, find a rehabilitation center, a doctor, or an HIV service organization. The organization has also established an HIV and AIDS hotline, and its staff offered consultations to relatives of HIV-infected people.
