Ingush Fund for Social Development “Genesis” has been involved in educational initiatives since 2005. In recent years, the main activity of the organization was the project “Together!” on countering extremism and violence. Within the framework of this project, Genesis conducted trainings in Ingush schools.

In December 2019, Genesis was included in the register of non-profit organizations—“foreign agents.” The organization received a fine for refusing to voluntarily enter the register of “foreign agents,” and its director Mareta Dzeitova—for not marking the “foreign agent” in one of the posts on social networks. The fines and the very fact of entry into the register are now challenged by Genesis in the European Court. The fund suspended its activities and in July 2021 was excluded from the list of “foreign agents.” After that, Mareta Dzeitova announced the resumption of the fund’s activities.
