“Ulukitkan” promotes the realization of the rights of the indigenous peoples of the Amur region to preserve the traditional ways of life and a sustainable use of the natural resources in the territory of their residence. During its existence, the organization has achieved the environmental hearings on the construction of the Vostochny cosmodrome.

According to "Agora", the Prosecutor's office has not substantiated the exact nature of the organisation’s “political activity”. It received 29 thousand rubles of foreign funding in 2011 from the Heinrich Böll Foundation for an action and a journalism competition dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster.
