'Tengri School of Soul Ecology' was established in 1995 with the aim of reviving traditional awareness of the Altai through the implementation of an integrated system of measures and actions, that could contribute to the preservation, strengthening and recreation of the relationship between the indigenous people and the Sacred Land. In 2001 Tengri decided to organize a specially protected natural area of the Altai Republic 'Karakol ethnic nature park 'Uch Enmek' in the Karakol Valley.

After the recognition of the organization as a 'foreign agent' in 2016, all participants left it except well-known politician and eco-activist Danila Mamyev. Thus, the Tengri school without leadership lost the signs of a public organization, which served as the basis for its liquidation.
